BEFL Consultancy Director Yaroslav Geraskin has shared broad practical experience of BEFL in Corporate Secretary outsourcing at the 5th practical conference on Corporate Development Strategies in Russia and CIS.

A practical workshop devoted to the vital role of Corporate Secretary in the increase of the company’s value was held within the framework of the conference run on July 13-15, 2011 in Barcelona, Spain.

Yaroslav Geraskin, being a co-host of the workshop program, presented a report ‘Experience and benefits of Outsorced Corporate Secretary services at the market today’ for the conference participants, among which were the representatives of Uniastrum Bank (Russia), Rusagro (Russia), OAO Aeroflot (Russia), Samruk-Kazyna Corporate University (Kazakhstan), Galnaftogaz (Ukraine), Otkritie FS JSC (Russia), VTB Bank (Georgia), directors and corporate secretaries of other major Russian and foreign companies.

The workshop participants were particularly interested in the following issues: full and partial outsourcing, Outsourced Corporate Secretary for companies with independent, foreign directors and members, common mistakes when dealing with an outsourcing company. Some of the above mentioned issues have provoked a hot discussion proving the fact that not even all corporate lawyers have a clear idea of specifics and benefits of these services.

In conclusion Yaroslav wished the workshop participants to take the benefits of BEFL’s wide experience in services rendering to avoid at least common mistakes of Outsourced Corporate Secretary.
