Audit and consultancy Company BEFL supported joint initiative of the Russian-German Chamber of Commerce, Association of European Business (AEB), American Chamber of Commerce in Russia and International Business Leaders Forum (IBLF) to follow principles of corporate governance when conducting business in the Russian Federation. Vladislav Novoselov, BEFL Managing Director, took part in the official ceremony of signing the Code of conducting business (‘CORPORATE ETHICS INITIATIVE FOR BUSINESS IN THE RUSSIAN FEDERATION’) that took place on April, 21, 2010 in Moscow. ‘The noble goal of this initiative can by no means be diminished’, says Vladislav Novoselov. ‘It is aimed at achieving the critical mass of companies in Russia to be fully committed to international anti-corruption standards in their business conduct’. ‘Both initiators and participants fully realize the complicated nature of the mission. Still, we do hope that the campaign initiated by German partners will be a success so that companies totally refusing from bribes will have greater chances to win grants in Russia both now and in the future and to act as contractors and subcontractors of major companies’. |
